Therapy Rabbits, Lifelong companion pet rabbits
All about therapy rabbits, pet rabbits, and lifelong companion rabbits. Brought to you by Aristocrats of WI Rabbitry. We have exclusively Polish rabbits, and Polish rabbits are the ”little aristocrats”. Therapy rabbits are pets, but not all pet rabbits are trained or screened properly. This is why some rabbits end up in shelters and people can believe that rabbits are not good pets. We think that there are virtually no bad rabbits, just bad training and screening. Not all rabbits are people rabbits. Some rabbits are best suited for people that need a companion that does not need a lot of attention. Other rabbits are best suited to people who want their furry friend to love on frequently. People come from far away to get a rabbit or a pair who are bonded companions from the Aristocrats rabbitry. Contact us via phone 262-551-3105 or find a rabbit breeder on the ARBA website. https://arba.net/find-a-breeder-2/

Ellen and Felicia discuss Ellen's two years with Gustav the ambassador rabbit.
Origin Story
I “babysat” for him and his siblings (Leopold & Beatrice) when they were 3 month kits in fall 2020
He visited for the 2020 Christmas holiday & stayed
He’s as cute and adorable today as when he was a tiny kit – coffee brown, 2lbs
Personality
calm, cuddly, affectionate, sweet (“big brown loaf of bunny bread”), sits on my shoulder,
curious and adventurous – (when the tiny pocket-sized bunny met the tiny purse-sized terrier)
loves to travel, well-mannered, will snuggle with everyone no matter the size of their lap (“Mr. Ambassador”)
Housing
Condo with tunnel, 20” high so that he can stretch up, tunnel is mounted on ceiling
Travel cage (tried small, now prefer medium size, especially for overnight stays)
Exercise pen designed for small animals (collapsible, portable, use indoors and outside, good for traveling, 24” high wire grid walls, wall panels are hinged panels
Responsibilities/Chores
he cleans the basement with his whiskers – “the Original Dust Bunny”
he watches me while I work on projects around the house – “Mr. Accountability”
Toys & Games
cardboard boxes, especially enjoys large boxes that he can crawl into (“man cave”)
sisal rope for nibbling is attached ceiling of the condo and travel cage
tug-of war with cardboard
outdoor exercise pen set up on the brick patio or in enclosed patios or in garage
indoor exercise – he runs laps around the perimeter of the basement – so proud of his speed that he often kicks his rear heels together
creative – he invented “chase after the bunny”
